The city of Nesvizh is home to the most famous palace and castle complex in Belarus. The cornerstone of the Nesvizh Castle was laid at the end of the 16th century. Over the centuries, the structure underwent numerous reconstructions, eventually evolving into a magnificent palace that masterfully harmonises a wealth of architectural styles—from Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo to Classicism, Neo-Gothic and Modernism. Adjacent to the castle, one of Europe’s largest landscape parks was once established. Following the Second World War, the castle served as a sanatorium, leaving the grounds in a state of disrepair. Thanks to extensive restoration, the palace is now fully restored and open to the public. Visitors are welcome to explore the site either independently or accompanied by a guide.
